An investigator-turned-whistleblower for the Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that Secret Service agents intervened in an investigation on Hunter Biden, preventing the bureau from interviewing the presidential son.
Paul Dragu, reporting on this development for The New American, noted that multiple whistleblowers have already come forward testifying that they and other government agencies were prevented from properly investigating Hunter Biden’s possibly illicit financial dealings. In one of the latest revelations, an FBI agent has confirmed a prior testimony by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley regarding the Secret Service’s interference.
In a testimony before the House Oversight Committee Shapley noted how FBI headquarters tipped off the Secret Service as well as the transition team of then-President-Elect Joe Biden about the FBI’s plan to interview Hunter.
“The FBI, SSA [supervisory special agent] and I were assigned with interviewing Hunter Biden that day, and the day previous we went to the [Los Angeles FBI] field office and asked the special agent in charge to contact the Secret Service special agent in charge from the LA field office at 8 a.m. on the morning of December 8 and tell them that two agents were going to approach Hunter Biden as part of an official investigation,” said Shapley.
But the night before the interview was supposed to happen, the FBI and the Secret Service coordinated to inform the transition team of the planned interview to prevent it from happening. Neither Shapley nor any other investigating agent were ever able to interview the presidential son.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer of Kentucky later on added that the former FBI supervisory agent in charge of the investigation into Hunter confirmed the key details of Shapley’s testimony before the committee.
“Our committee staff conducted a transcribed interview with a former FBI supervisory special agent assigned to the FBI’s Wilmington [Delaware] office and the Biden criminal investigation,” said the Oversight Committee in a statement.
“The agent confirmed key portions of the IRS whistleblower’s testimony, including that both Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team were tipped off about the planned Hunter Biden interview,” the committee continued. “In fact, on the day of the Hunter Biden interview, federal agents were told to stand by and to not approach Hunter Biden – they had to wait for his call.”
Because of this change in plans, neither Shapley nor his counterparts in the FBI were able to proceed with the interview with Hunter.
The FBI whistleblower further confirmed to the committee’s investigators that he was never told to wait to be contacted by Hunter or his team to follow up on the investigation.
“The agent’s testimony is sickening and reveals the lengths to which the [Department of Justice] is willing to go to cover up for the Bidens,” said the committee.
